Plain definitions for books, close, and verification terms used across Lawenots.
- Business books for USD & crypto
- Lawenots primary product: bookkeeping software and bookkeeping for hire for operators who hold fiat and digital assets.
- Sovereign vault
- An optional Docker Compose deployment where sensitive documents and credentials stay on your infrastructure (local Postgres vault), rather than the default cloud workbook hosting — not required for books, Plaid feeds, or tax exports.
- Close + Attest
- Premium books tier coupling the Close Graph evidence package to a Lawenots-signed Ed25519 attestation on the export receipt — marketed as attestation, not custody. Evidence packages can be verified offline with MIT tooling published under the Lawenots GitHub org.
- Close Graph
- Lawenots' close model: a weighted readiness score over shipped DB-backed gates (transactions, reconciliations, ledger balance, open AR invoices, open AP bills). Roadmap items (compensation imports, settlement anchors, hashed carry-forward timeline) are labeled separately and do not yet change the production score.
- Lawenots Verify
- Close-blocker classifier and #2 product surface: import QuickBooks, Xero, or CSV (or run against native books), surface readiness blockers, and produce a hashed readiness report. Firm/CPA mode reviews client books without ownership. Import is the funnel; Close Graph is the destination.
- Open verification
- Selective transparency: Lawenots publishes verification tooling for Close + Attest so operators, firms, and auditors can independently validate evidence packages without a Lawenots account. Repos: attestation-verify, schemas, and openapi. Product scoring and allocation logic remain proprietary.
- Books–agent bridge
- Links vendor records in books to agent compute governance (spend caps, vendor entity registry) so operating spend and governed agent workloads share an audit trail.
